Objectives

• Better understand how wind and wave conditions affect the safe movement of cargo vessels

Challenges

• Large volumes of weather data need to be linked to vessel movement data
• The data is spread across four separate systems that aren’t connected
• The only thing that relates the data is a time stamp and not all time-stamps match exactly
• Provide a simple and flexible way for managers to explore the results to gain insights
